Kitt Peak Color 1

This was taken just off the highway to Kitt Peak National Observatory, South of Tucson Arizona during the Spring of 2001. The rain fall was just right, leading to a bumper crop of wildflowers, including the mexican gold poppies and owl's clover seen here. The observatory is visible at the top of the peak at the end of the wash, almost exactly opposite from the initial view.
