Connecting the Apple Cinema Display to the graphics card requires an adapter. There appear to be two on the market:
Machine suddenly started freezing up every few minutes this morning. While trying to investigate, found this hardware monitor:
https://github.com/kozlek/HWSensors
... which only sees the SDD and HDD sensors.
Removing GenericUSBXHCI.kext and running the Kext Utility seems to have improved things. I am still having some issues with it freezing if I try to do too many simultaneous I/O operations with a USB-connected drive (e.g., copying two sets of files off an SD card at once).

WD My Passport drive being used for TimeMachine backups has continued to auto-eject itself during operation. This has gotten worse, to the point where it became unusable.
Coping files to or from USB devices regularly causes freezes. After a freeze, the machine repeatedly freezes for awhile, even after several reboots with the USB device(s) not connected.
I found some forum threads that may have clues:

In the BIOS, I noticed that the RAM timings on auto set themselves to 9-9-9-24 while the DIMMs say they are 8-8-8-24. I changed the timings to manual and set them to 8-8-8-24.
Upgraded to Yosemite (10.10.05).
In the new Unibeast, it is necessary to uncheck the "inject NVIDIA" in the graphics options.
Multibeast settings saved on the system (Documents).

Upgraded to Mojave.
When upgrading the OS or copying to a new drive using CCC, note that you need to boot from external media (USB) and, run Multibeast to fix the boot partition.
Mojave no longer support NVidia GPUs. Swapped in the current recommended AMD card: Sapphire RX 580 Pulse 8GB - NewEgg
Upgraded to Catalina (10.15.7)
