PhotoWorkflow

  1. Copy photos from media to external drive
  2. Back up native camera files to "ingested" directory on NAS (this is a temporary backup).
  3. Use Batch Rename to copy the files to the local drive (in-process directory) and assign them their unique name (naming scheme: ACrawford_CCYYMMDD_####.ext where #### is a 4-digit sequence number that restarts with each batch).
  4. Build Bridge cache
  5. Update the temporary metadata template and Replace the metadata
  6. Review the images, applying more specific keywords, ratings, and marking rejects.
  7. Delete rejects
  8. Use RapidFixer and/or Camera RAW to do a quick adjustment pass on images and create a "pretty good" preview (use the full image editing workflow for any interesting images or images to be used immediately).
  9. Use Rank and File script to embed ratings and other Bridge-specific metadata.
  10. Use DNG Converter to copy the images to the main archive directory and convert to DNG format.
  11. Import into iView Media Pro.
  12. Automated backup copies the in-process directory and the final catalog archive to the NAS backup.
