PhotoWorkflow
- Copy photos from media to external drive
- Back up native camera files to "ingested" directory on NAS (this is a temporary backup).
- Use Batch Rename to copy the files to the local drive (in-process directory) and assign them their unique name (naming scheme: ACrawford_CCYYMMDD_####.ext where #### is a 4-digit sequence number that restarts with each batch).
- Build Bridge cache
- Update the temporary metadata template and Replace the metadata
- Review the images, applying more specific keywords, ratings, and marking rejects.
- Delete rejects
- Use RapidFixer and/or Camera RAW to do a quick adjustment pass on images and create a "pretty good" preview (use the full image editing workflow for any interesting images or images to be used immediately).
- Use Rank and File script to embed ratings and other Bridge-specific metadata.
- Use DNG Converter to copy the images to the main archive directory and convert to DNG format.
- Import into iView Media Pro.
- Automated backup copies the in-process directory and the final catalog archive to the NAS backup.
